NO-COST Training for In-Demand Skills

About the Program

The Ventura County Digital Upskilling Training program is a NO-COST, short-term training program that teaches basic digital skills to job seekers, workers, and small business owners. The program expands opportunities and earning power for Ventura County residents by providing them with digital skills training.

State Assembly member Jacqui Irwin developed the project idea and secured $5 million in state general funds for this Digital Upskilling pilot program in Ventura County. Now in its fourth year, the program provides NO-COST Computer Basics and Get Your Small Business Online classes in Ventura County and equips other locations to use the curriculum and tools for both courses.

The Economic Development Collaborative created two toolkits that include everything needed to replicate the Digital Upskilling program. Curriculum and instructor tools are available at no-cost in English and Spanish.
